CHEAP MOTORBIKE INSURANCE AND THE TOP 10 BRITISH SELLERS.

Cheap Motorbike Insurance is one of the UK's specialist motorbike insurance related web sites. Get a no pressure quote in your own time.

To help you buy the best possible motorbike second hand and still get a great insurance deal from some of the biggest names in British motorcycle insurance we have put together an unofficial list of the biggest selling second-hand motorbikes here on our very own little Island called Great Britain. When you have had a look at some of the bikes your fellow bikers are snapping up on a daily basis through web sites such as MCN, Bike Trader and ebay, we suggest that you read a few of key insurance facts we have compiled on various pages of our web site.

Now before you think yea, yea, they all say that, may I simply reply that I personally never accept a renewal quote, but always get more quotes to save money. This year I received my insurance renewal at the beginning of June and I have now saved £15 on next years insurance policy through Bennetts who we advertise above by the way! That's not a lot you may say, but I have been riding for 17 years and my bike insurance was just £105 last year! This year it is a measly £89. I must be honest and say that I am not entirely sure how I am going to beat that price next year though!!!!

  1. The Honda CBR600FS
was created for track days and is a true racer. With this in mind it is easy to spot a bike which has been raced as it will most likely have damage from being dropped on the track. Also it may have a modified engine or exhaust system. If you suspect the motorbike has been raced then walk away. Never buy one of these bikes online, without first seeing the bike first hand.
  2. The Suzuki GSXR-600
is one of the bigger 600's and for the bigger guys it's a great option. The handling, power and well calibrated fuel injection system makes the Suzuki GSXR-600 one of the best all round road and track bikes around. Look for replacement body parts, removable indicators, a damaged gear box and scratched body panels but really it shouldn't matter too much if it has been on the track, this bike is built to take it!
  3. Yamaha YZF-R6
is possibly the best ever selling used bike on the market in the uk today. It has almost certainly been on a track day if you are looking at one, so damage is what to look for. Re-sprayed paintwork, scuffed alloys, worn shocks and warped disc brakes are the things you should look for according to Bike mag. As long as you know what you are doing this bike is an all round pocket rocket and you would really luck to own one of these iconic bikes.
  4. Yamaha YZF-R1
is a legend of the supersport world, an acclaimed one-litre performer that’s become a motorcycling icon, an all-powerful World Superbike race-winning machine that’s also a monument to the power of beauty. The R1’s performance is electrifying and yet what makes this motorcycle truly remarkable is its superbly rider-friendly character because Yamaha’s avant-garde, race-bred technology puts you confidently in control.
  5. Suzuki GSXR-750
has defined an entirely new category for the modern motorcycle: The true racer replica. For more than 20 years, the GSX-R750 has been a direct link between the racetrack and the street. It is a revolutionary motorcycle that changed production- based racing forever. Filling racing paddocks around the globe, and driving would-be competitors from the grid. A machine so dominant that other brands abandoned the 750cc racing class because they could not compete that is until the arrival of the evil R6 and R1 obviously.

Whether you ride a scooter, a moped or a motorcycle, you can be sure that our bike insurance providers have a policy to suit you. If you are looking for cheap motorbike insurance, you've come to the right place as we've made sure we have provided a range of policies online for Comprehensive, Third Party Fire and Theft and Third Party Only bike insurance.

Looking for a cheaper motorbike insurance premium online is worth the investment of your your time online. Naturally there is more to the premium price than just who provides the quote.

One reason why a policy for the same type of bike may be cheaper for one of your friends is that he may be older than you, another is his bikes security and yet another is the fact that he may have agreed on an higher excess payment. Does he own a garage? This often brings down the premium price as does living in a particular area. Shop around and get the best cover at the best price (if the motorbike insurance quote seems too cheap, you may well regret it if you come to make a claim and find policy exclusions, large hidden excesses, poor claims service etc.). Remember, there are over one hundred companies out there, all trying to make a profit out of cheap motorbike insurance - and each of them will have a different set of underwriting criteria, some may see you as an unacceptably high risk to their insurance company and then others may see you as an acceptable risk to their motorbike insurance company. It all depends on where their specialty lies.

6. Suzuki GSXR-750
It is a life dedicated to making the most successful open-class motorcycle in the history of production-based racing even better. By applying the latest technology and the most recent hard-fought racing experience. And keeping the GSX-R1000 well ahead of the would-be competition.

The Key is the motorcycles' ability to do precisely what the rider wants, when the rider wants, how the rider wants. Accelerate. Brake. Corner. Repeat. Make it easier for the rider, and the results will show. With better lap times on the racetrack, and more fun on the road.

7. Honda CBR1000RR
The Honda CBR1000RR was developed by a team that developed the Honda RC Race Bike for MotoGP. The result has always been a machine that is very hard to compete against and every boy racer worth his salt wants to have one in his garage. The CBR1000RR has fantastically aggressive looks and is distinctive on the roads. The engine has specifically been build compact and balance is everything. Not many bikes can take its rider into corners quite as quickly as a Honda can. The tremendous power also means that riders can pull away as soon as they come out the corners, leaving many other bikes dead in its tracks. The 2006 Honda CBR1000RR was much the same bike as the 2007 one, except the swingarm was changed to black, making the bike look far more aggressive and the bike was offered in four new color schemes; Black, Red/Black, Satin Silver and Race-Replica Repsol. One of my favourite styles! With features like Radial-mounted front brakes and a Center-up exhaust system, Dual Stage Fuel Injection (DSFI) system featuring two injectors per cylinder and bearing in mind that this bike still has the Aluminum frame patterned after the RC211V(R) MotoGP race bike, its no wonder this bike sold and sold and sold.
